Baked Teriyaki Salmon
This tasty sweet and salty sauce adds so much dimension to a boring, baked salmon! With no added oil, this dish is very healthy and quick—perfect for a mid-week dinner or meal prep.

Ingredients
- 4 4-oz salmon fillets
- 120 g tamari or soy sauce
- 40 g light brown sugar
- 40 g maple syrup
- 30 g rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tsp potato or corn starch
- Optional: chopped green onions, toasted white sesame seeds
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- In a bowl, whisk together tamari/soy sauce, brown sugar, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic and ginger.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or gallon bag. Remove half of the mixture and pour over fillets. Let marinate for up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Add starch to the remaining liquid and transfer to a small sauce pan. Over medium low heat, bring mixture to a simmer while constantly stirring. Remove from heat after 1-2 minutes or until thickened slightly. Set aside.
- Place salmon on a lined baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork.
- Brush thickened glaze over the fillets, garnish with green onions and white sesame seeds, and serve with rice and steamed vegetables!
